Getting to ‘yes’ through collaborative interaction
Karen serves as Greenway’s general counsel. In this role, she is responsible for Greenway's legal affairs, including strategic legal counsel on a broad range of legal, business, and operational matters. With her extensive experience in corporate and healthcare law, she plays an integral role in helping us create a culture of quality and compliance.
Prior to joining Greenway, she was Senior Vice President and General Counsel for two privately held companies, HealthPlan Services and Zenith American Solutions, which provide outsourced administration of commercial and union benefit plans. Before that, she served in legal roles with increasing responsibility for two publicly traded managed care companies, Oxford Health Plans and WellCare; was an associate with Robinson & Cole in the corporate area; and clerked for a federal judge in Philadelphia.
Karen’s philosophy regarding the role of the legal teams is to “get to yes” through collaborative interaction with her business partners. Her favorite thing about Greenway is the talent and ingenuity of the people she works with.
Karen received her bachelor’s from Tufts University and her JD from Seton Hall School of Law. In addition to being licensed to practice law in New York, Connecticut and Florida, she is certified in healthcare compliance and privacy. Karen and her husband have three children.
Karen serves on the board of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
